Festive Chocolate Covered Fruit

Updated: Jun 7, 2018

During the Holiday season there are a lot of sweets and treats to choose from! This recipe is festive and tasty, without the excessive amount of calories. I will be using fresh fruit and dark chocolate to make these treats that will satisfy any sweet craving.

You can use any kind of fresh fruit that you enjoy and love!

Peaches

Apples

Grapes

Pears

Strawberries

Oranges

Kiwi

Banana

Dried Fruit

  • Slowly melt Dark Chocolate Chips in a metal bowl over boiling water in a sauce pan on stove top (the steam from the boiling water will melt the chocolate without burning)

  • Once chocolate is melted - dip fresh cut fruit of choice into chocolate (half or whole fruit, up to you!)

  • Place chocolate covered fruit on a wax paper lined baking sheet

  • Optional - Add toppings of choice (crushed peppermint canes, crushed nuts, dash salt, sprinkles, or coconut flakes)

  • Cover baking sheet with aluminum foil

  • Place baking sheet of chocolate covered fruit into refrigerator to set for about 1 hour

  • Serve and Enjoy!
